This is a youth-led project which makes films which have a
community benefit. The young people involved are aged between
16-25 years old and they all have different experiences of film
making. They create films which cover issues that affect
young people both globally and in the local areas, including binge
drinking, sexual health and living independently.
Film Junkies have recently been awarded funding for a year from
the British Film Industry Transition Fund which enables them to
hold the third annual One Voice Film Festival in 2012. This
is a festival organised by the group which showcases films made by
young people under 25 years old and this year will be held at the
new-state-of-the-art Stourvale Centre.
The group meet every Wednesday at the Stourvale Centre at
7-8.30pm and take part in every part of the film making process,
from script writing, filming, casting and editing.
