Lifewise Fitness Centre

The Lifewise Fitness Centre is a newly refurbished, air-conditioned gym with a full variety of cardiovascular and resistance machines plus an extensive range of free weights equipment. There is also a nutrition bar serving pre and post workout drinks to aid your training goals. It is used by people of all ages from the local community as well as the YMCA residents. The gym is a key part of the YMCA’s drive to promote a healthier lifestyle for all and offers excellent facilities at an affordable price. It is staffed by qualified fitness instructors who are able to give inductions and fitness programmes that will help and motivate members to achieve their personal fitness goals.

Lifewise is situated within the main Westover Road premises in the centre of Bournemouth and its opening times are:

Monday to Friday 0700 to 2100
Saturday 0900 to 1700
Sunday 1100 to 1700

We believe that being fit and healthy should not be a luxury but accessible to all. Our pricing system therefore ensures that the facilities are affordable and available to all income groups and with discounts for advance payments the memberships become even better value for money. In addition, you can know that your money is not disappearing into a huge private leisure corporation but that it will help subsidise the use of the facilities by special needs groups, and to subsidise the wider welfare work of the YMCA.

The various memberships include Breakfast Club, Peak and Off Peak as well as daily rates and discounts for low income groups. There are no contract tie ins and we accept cheque and cash payments. In addition to the fitness centre, the Sports Hall can be hired for games such as Badminton and football; and a new vertical Sun Bed is also available.
