Blair Crawford
Executive Director

Married with 4 children Blair has been Executive Director of
Bournemouth YMCA since October 1990. He began his YMCA career
in 1976 having completed a 2 year training programme in youth and
community studies. Blair has served in Bolton, Sheffield and
Croydon YMCAs as well as spending 7 years in commercial
radio. Blair has seen Bournemouth YMCA expand from 1
operating centre to 8 and leads a team of some 150 employees
captaining a very diverse range of programmes, predominantly
focusing on the needs of children and young people/adults.
Linda Voysey
PA. to Executive Director/HR Manager

Linda is Personal Assistant to the Executive Director, Blair
Crawford, having held this post since she first joined Bournemouth
YMCA in 1986. She became HR Manager after qualifying as
a CIPD Associate in 2003 and, 25 years after joining the
Association, continues to enjoy the challenging roles of PA
and HR Manager.
Mark Inkpen
Programmes Operations Manager

Mark joined Bournemouth YMCA in 1996 and progressed from Fitness
Supervisor to Programmes Operations Manager. Mark now oversees all
the YMCA's work with young people and children, health and fitness
and media. A qualified Youth Worker Mark co-ordinates his Church's
youth work, is enjoying fatherhood with his young
baby Poppy, but still finds time to enjoy football and most
sports.
Sylvie Elsbury
Accommodation Support Manager

Sylvie was appointed as Housing Manager for the Association in
February 2003 and previously worked for Wiltshire Constabulary
as a Police Officer. After gaining a degree in
Psychology, Sylvie worked for Ashurst Hospital as
an Assistant Psychologist. Working with people has always
been a passion, Sylvie has also worked for a Drug and
Alcohol Treatment Service and was
a Youth Worker for a Methodist Church in
Hampshire. In her spare time she likes to paint and
draw.
Frances Inkpen
Finance Manager

Frances started working for Bournemouth YMCA in June 1994 as the
Finance Manager. She has always worked in the Finance Sector of
business including U.K.A.E. Winfrith, Grant Thornton and an
Accountancy Practice in Corfe Mullen. As Finance Manager she
is involved with all financial aspects of the Association and
very much likes working in our multi faceted charity. She enjoys
family life, dog walking, church activities and holidays in
France.
Jonathan Chadd
Building Services Manager

Jonathan joined the YMCA staff team in 2005, having previously
served the Association as a board member. Jonathan looks after all
the Building Services and IT functions of the Association across
all sites, ensuring all our buildings are safe and pleasant to work
in. After graduating from Bournemouth University Jonathan became
head of IT for a locally based company. Jonathan has also
undertaken various project management/consultancy roles with major
Sports companies, and other well known organisations. Married to
Clare with 2 young children he enjoys fatherhood, football and DIY
as well as being a presenter on Hope FM's breakfast show.
Terry Yarrow
Projects Manager

Terry's role at Bournemouth YMCA is as Projects
Manager. He joined the YMCA in 1998 following early
retirement after a career in banking. His role involves
overseeing new developments, taking new projects from the initial
idea up to completion when they are then handed to other managers
for the ongoing management. The most recent project was a
four million pound rebuild of Pokesdown Youth Centre, others have
included Fusion Youth Centre, Freemantle Hall and our mobile youth
facility. Terry loves the outdoors and is an avid walker
and photographer in his spare time.
Kevin Potter
Hope FM Manager

Kevin is a UK-based radio broadcast professional originally from
South Africa. He has been associated with commercial radio and
socially innovative community media initiatives since 1992. He was
the principal architect of the first community station in Nelson
Mandela's home region of the Eastern Cape and has been project
manager for various licence-seeking initiatives including a
training facility & campus radio station for a large regional
university. Kevin relocated to the UK at the end of 2005 and became
the Station Launch Manager for the first community radio licence
awarded in Bournemouth to Hope FM Community Radio Station.
Thereafter he functioned principally as the station's Programme
Controller for a period, eventually taking over the full management
functions of Hope FM including the day to day running of the
radio station, programming and oversight of 3 full time
and 46 volunteer staff.
